Tau Capital Group, founded in 2017, is a long-term investment holding company focused on the acquisition of lower middle market businesses at inflection points in their lifecycles. Tau believes that businesses can be rapidly improved with focused attention and investment into their operations.
Tau strives to build a reputation as an investor that delivers more than just value – Tau does right by all stakeholders involved in a transaction to include sellers, bankers/brokers, lenders, service providers, employees and more.
The principals of Tau Capital Group have a 27-year track record of completing over 30 acquisitions in diverse industries, across a wide array of transaction types to include private sales, founder owned, MBOs, corporate divestitures, secondary sales, legacy PE & VC asset sales and public-to-private transactions.
Tau has a committed capital base consisting of family offices and high-net-worth individuals, in addition to internal capital funded by our principals. We aim to acquire 3-5 new businesses annually.
